ayda McTyson (pen name) hails from the sunny island of Jamaica, where she has been practising her craft since childhood. At the end of 2004, she started writing again after a hiatus lasting many years.
During 2005 and 2006, she sold several articles on the craft of writing, some of which are listed here, and has since challenged herself in the area of fiction writing.
More recently, her short stories have been published in Bookends, the literary pages of the Jamaica Observer. In 2008, she entered the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's Literary Competition for the first time and won a silver medal for the short story The Last Laugh. Her Young Adult novel, Christine's Odyssey won a bronze medal. She also copped an award for outstanding writing.
These days, she occupies her time writing romantic suspense novels, while playing the waiting game. Hardware is under consideration with a publisher. Contraband (Action/Adventure) is being read by two publishers.
Anya’s Redemption, the follow up novel to Hardware is her current project.
